Channel Selection
Summary:
When using EEG BCI, not all channels are equal in terms of the relevance of brain data and the ratio of useful information to noise, also known as the signal to noise ratio (SNR). Channel selection lets us pick out the channels that are relevant AND have high SNR. This improves classification results for adults and children alike.
“All channels are wrong, but some are useful.”
