Peds Database

Summary

In the wide world of BCI research pediatric users are underrepresented (see Orlandi et al. 2021). This is especially true when considering open datasets, where they are not represented at all… yet. This lack of representation means that state-of-the-art methods are not tested on children. This means that if we want to know if a state-of-the-art method will work for children we have to test it ourselves.

The purpose of this project is to determine appropriate standards to ethically share pediatric BCI data with other research groups to make it as easy as possible for other groups to test new state-of-the-art algorithms on pediatric data.

Currently we data for P300 and motor imagery (MI) BCI collected with typically developing children.
